There will always be someone who can’t see your worth. Don’t let is be you.
Jodie Foster once said ‘When I won the Oscar, I thought it was a fluke. I thought everybody would find out, and they’d take it back.”
Imposter syndrome.
It hits many of us.
Despite our wins, we convince ourselves that we got lucky. That really, we aren’t anything special. That there are plenty of others out there better than us.
We play down our achievements and what this really comes back to is our lack of self worth.
It feels uncomfortable to own our greatness because deep down, we don’t believe in it.
We don’t believe we are worthy of it.
Who am I to be amazing and brilliant and successful and wealthy? I’m nobody special.
But you are special. You are unique. You are brilliant.
Keep a brag book of all of your achievements. Congratulate yourself as you would a friend. Give yourself the recognition you deserve and OWN the praise bestowed upon you
