Yoga can empower you in many different ways. Here are four of our favourites:
1# Commitment to growth
Yoga challenges you both mentally and physically. Especially in the beginning you may find certain poses hard and have little stamina holding, however with commitment to a daily practise you will not only see an improvement in your fitness but also in your mind.
The mind is a muscle that needs to be exercised daily and the commitment to yoga will show in other aspects of your life. You will find yourself enjoying harder tasks at work and in general, seeing each one as an opportunity to grow and develop.
2# Community minded with others and the world at large
There will always be a place for a quiet practise on your own however it is also worth going to regular yoga classes. Here you will find a like-minded community of people you can connect with and who will help you grow further. In turn yoga connects you to the larger community and the planet – how we are all connected and how important it is to look after the earth in our daily actions.
3# Self-confidence
When you first begin there will be poses you can’t do. However, with practise you will be able to master them. From this you will gain a deep sense of your own ability and self-confidence which ultimately leads to your self-worth.
Power poses, those poses which lengthen and strengthen your body such as warrior, tree and mountain pose will make you stand taller, filling the space and in turn make you look and feel more confident as well!
4# Finding yourself
Whether you are starting your own business or scaling an existing one, we get pulled in a million different directions throughout the day.
Giving yourself the gift of daily yoga is allowing space to breathe and be at one with yourself. The practise allows you to not only keep your body in good physical health (essential for those long hours) but gives you the power to see what is and isn’t important and helps you to find and stay on the right path both in your personal and business life.
There are so many other amazing reasons to practise yoga, what are yours?
