Happiness. It can often feel like a fleeting emotion however with intention we can cultivate the feeling of happiness each and every day with our tips below:
Gratitude
Start and end your day with gratitude. It can be as simple as saying aloud 3 things you’re thankful for. This one tip will have the most profound effect on your life and happiness.
Kindness
Practice compassion and kindness to everyone you come across. Even to those you would initially struggle with, it is even more important to treat them with kindness rather than hate.
Smile at the check-in lady, buy a sandwich for someone homeless, go on a volunteering holiday. However big or small make an effort to live your life in a kind and compassionate way.
A glass half full
Try to always see the good in situations. There will always be something. It may feel unnatural, to begin with, but subconsciously it will be having a positive effect.
Relationships
Nurture your relationships. In times of stress, those closest to you will be of support and in times of joy, they will be there to celebrate.
Movement
Keep your body supple and lean. Exercise daily – even if this is a 30-minute walk to work make a conscious effort to move each day. The natural endorphins your body produces is the best happiness medicine out there!
Though you cannot guarantee happiness the tips above will put on the right path towards cultivating joy in your life.
What is the meaning of my life? What is my purpose in this world? Where do I find joy?
Big questions that so often can get forgotten in your day to day life.
Here are 4 ideas to help you figure out your purpose in life:
1# What do you love to do?
What did you love to do when growing up? What activities make you forget the time, even forgetting to eat? What things do you do that bring you joy?
2# What do others think?
Sometimes an outsider’s opinion can bring light into an area you never thought of. Why not ask a dozen people what they think your special gift is and what your life purpose is?
3# What have been your favorite moments so far?
What memories do you have where you feel completely content and fulfilled with what you were doing? What did you achieve to make you remember this moment so fondly?
4# Ask the Universe for a sign
With the power of intention ask the Universe for a sign to show you what your life purpose is. Once you ask, be very alert to any signs that come your way. This could be a conversation with a long-lost friend, an event out of the blue happening or even certain words repeatedly coming up throughout the day.
By taking the time to ask ourselves this question, however hard, it opens us to the chance to discover our life’s purpose and to lead a life full of joy and intention.
Ever feel like you’ve gone along with what you feel you should do and what is expected of you rather than choosing a path that really lights you up?
Whilst it’s drummed into us to get good grades, go to Uni, get a job and then climb the career ladder….this path is certainly not for everyone.
It certainly wasn’t for me.
I knew I wanted something more – I wanted more freedom to do work that was meaningful and that allowed me to work when I where I chose.
I wanted to do something where I could make a big impact on the world and I wanted to be able to earn amazing money in the process.
After spending huge chunks of time trying to figure out what my options were, I discovered the coaching industry and it was like a light had suddenly been switched ON.
Here was this world where women were working from their laptops, creating these incredibly successful online coaching businesses and making a huge impact on the lives of others in the process.
I knew I had to be a part of it and this was the thing I was meant to do.
Fast forward to the present day and I’ve created a coaching business that has become far bigger than I ever anticipated, a business that allowed me to quit my job and a business that makes in one month what I used to make in an entire year.
Becoming a coach had such a profound impact on my life that I knew I wanted to help other women create their own success story within this industry.
And so this is what I’ve been doing ever since.
The Clique has to date helped hundreds of women build profitable online coaching businesses doing work that they truly love.
Now it’s your turn.

Despite our best intentions, life can often throw you a curveball. Something that saps your energy and makes you question your very existence. In these times it is even more important to take stock and make sure you have a solid grounding as it can be so easy to be swept away in despair.
As a mother cares for her child, self-care is the act of loving yourself. Allowing you the space to process your experience in order to be able to fully heal and recover.
Here are our 5 steps to help you in these dark times:
Rest
This is not the time to start a punishing fitness routine. Keep moving but in a way that honors your body rather than punishing it. Yoga, Pilates and walking all restores you.
Aim to have at least 7 hours of sleep. Get into bed an hour earlier and read. But try to get up at a regular time. Waking up at 11 am isn’t good for your mind. Try and sync your waking hours with the sunrise with the sun and start winding down when it sets.
Journal
The physical act of writing out your feelings can be extremely cathartic. Find a quiet spot and let it all out – everything that you are feeling get it down on paper. Once you are done you can keep this as a safe space or go through the ritualistic process of burning the paper. While you watch it burn, feel those feelings going to a higher place outside of you.
Nourishment
In times of upheaval, eating can come last on our list. It is so important though to keep your body strong. Eat warming foods such as soups and stews that are easy on the digestions. Drink herbal teas and keep hydrated. The act of cooking can have a calming and soothing action on your mind as well.
Gratitude
This can feel extremely hard but aim to think of three things you are grateful for. It could even be the air you are breathing, the sunrise you saw that morning, being able to make yourself a hot cup of tea to start your day. Start simple and gradually you will start to see the difference.
Don’t rush yourself with these steps. Be gentle on yourself. As with everything in life, things go up and they go down. It is the natural cycle and not something that should be fought against. The key is to look after yourself in both the good times and the bad so you have a solid foundation you can lean on in times of difficulty.
The still quiet energy of the feminine, like the undercurrent in a stream, connects us to ourselves and the spiritual realms.
Follow our 3 steps to reconnect with your feminine energy:
#1 Slow down
In slowing down we create space for us to breathe. In breath may we look into ourselves and see the divine feminine already within us.
#2 Intuition
Within this space, listen to your body. Feel the presence of yourself. Some people call it our 6th sense. Listening to your intuition takes practice but it is a skill that we can hone and embody.
#3 Honour your body
As a society we have been taught to feel ashamed of our menstruation cycles, to view it is a pain and something to hide each month. In fact, it gives us an opportunity to become in tune with our bodies. Throughout the cycle, we will go through periods of quiet, introversions to feeling inspired and full of energy to then retreating back into ourselves again. We should embrace each part and be patient with our bodies. They are vessels that hold the divine feminine and ones we should cherish.
Recapture and be proud of your feminine energy!
Whether you already work from home or about to start, follow our top 10 tips to help you stay productive:
Set up your workspace
Choose a corner of your house that you can dedicate to your work – if you’re lucky enough to have a home office, how great for you! If not, choose a location that has good natural light and a comfortable place to sit and work away from distractions.
Turn off your phone
There is a difference to using your phone for work and aimlessly scrolling through Instagram. Intentionally starting your day without social media and by focusing on the task at hand sets you up for the day. Give yourself specific times in the day you can check in otherwise – keep on airplane mode.
Choose your working hours
And choose your breaks! Whether you’re an early bird starting at 6 am or a night owl that really gets going after 6 pm intentionally choose your hours and when you will break. You will find yourself being far more productive within the confines of the time.
Don’t spend all week alone
Treat yourself to a morning a week in your favorite coffee shop or spend the day working with your freelance friend. You will find yourself much more inspired by a change of scenery.
Have a morning routine
Whether this is starting your day with meditation, exercise or 30 minutes of journaling, having a morning routine that you look forward to will mentally set yourself up for the day. I have a routine where I will wipe down my desk, open the windows and make myself a pot of coffee before starting work. This signals to my brain that it’s time to get down to it!
Take breaks
When you are working on your own and you get into the zone, the time can fly past and you realize you have been working straight for 6 hours! On the other hand, with no boss to check in on you, it can be very easy to be scrolling through your phone while you are meant to be working. Having a dedicated break allows you to put your phone on silent and focus for an hour knowing you will have 10 minutes of guilt-free Instagram time!
Set goals
Set daily, weekly, monthly and yearly goals – this will help you focus yourself and keep you motivated on a day to day basis.
Spend money on your business
It can be tempting to save every cost you can including your working environment but making sure you have a good computer and comfortable place to work will pay dividends in your productivity and enthusiasm for work in the long term.
Schedule Me time
Whether this means a no phone / no work Sunday or turning off for the day at 6 pm sharp – make sure you commit to You time. Don’t work from bed on a Sunday and don’t reply to emails while sitting down for dinner with your OH. Be strict with yourself as long term this will really start to affect your happiness.
Enjoy it!
Lastly, enjoy the freedom and comfort of working from home. That feeling on a Monday morning knowing you used to be stuck in rush hour traffic as you sit down to work with your freshly brewed coffee with your puppy by your side!
Here is our hit list of great ways to start your day:
1 Don’t hit snooze
Anyone who has ever fallen back asleep after being woken by their alarm will know the groggy feeling and subsequent “foggy” morning that follows. By jumping out of bed as soon as you hear your alarm you are mentally setting yourself up for the day and will have so much more energy as a result.
2 Open your curtains
As soon as you wake up, try and expose yourself to as much natural light as possible to kick start your circadian rhythm. If natural light is an issue then think about investing in a SAD light.
3 Don’t reach for your phone
Throughout the day we are barraged with a constant stream of notifications, emails, WhatsApp’s and calls. Aim for the first hour of waking to be phone free. Nearly everything can wait an hour and you will feel calmer throughout the day as a result.
4 Stretch
In your phone free hour try to do some gentle stretches or even a yoga session. It will make your physical body prepared for the day ahead – whether that is being on your feet or sitting at your desk for the day. Everyone benefits from a good stretch!
5 Meditate
Now your body is stretched, stretch your mind with your meditation practice. Whether this is sitting in stillness with yourself or listening to a guided meditation on one of the many apps out there you will feel calm and mentally prepared for whatever the day has to throw at you.
6 List three things you are grateful for
This single practice will change your life – try saying aloud at the end of your mediation, writing it in a gratitude journal or adding to your notes on your iPhone so you can access it while on the move.
7 Set your intentions for the day
I like to say this aloud to send to the Universe or you may like writing this down in a similar way to your gratitude list. It is amazing how this simple practice can subconsciously focus your day to get your intentions realized!
8 Drink one large glass of water
Whether this is warm water with lemon or straight out of the tap, your body has been fasting overnight and needs to be rehydrated.
9 Listen to music
Guaranteed to put you in a good mood – listen to your favorite playlist while getting ready, eating breakfast or even on your way to work. Alternatively, if you feel like enriching your mind listen to an inspiring and educational podcast.
10 Eat Breakfast
Not everyone has the time or stomach for a big breakfast in the morning but make sure to fuel your body for the day – this could be a homemade nut bar, smoothie or a quick omelet. Honor your body and it will honor you through the day.

In light of Mental Health Awareness Week, we thought we would share with you our top 4 tips to building a positive mindset:
Gratitude
Start your day with at least three things you are grateful for. I like to keep mine on Notes on my iPhone so I can remind myself throughout the day.
Acknowledgment
Why are you feeling negative? By acknowledging the situation, you are in and how you are feeling, you can gain insight into negative triggers for you. With this insight, you can take steps to rectify the situation.
Toxic
Cut negative and toxic people out of your life. You are the sum of the five people you spend the most time with. Make sure they are people who are positive and lift you up. You do not need these people pulling you down.
Meditate
It has been scientifically proven that meditation lowers your stress levels and can help you become more positive. Aim for 20 minutes a day and see the amazing effect it has on your mind and spirit.
Affirmations
Start your day with positive affirmations and continue the positive mental self-talk throughout the day. We are more in control of our thoughts than we give credit to.

Real self-care isn’t putting on a facemask and watching a chick flick. Real self-care sustains you, it brings you tranquillity, a space to breath from the outside world and allows you to reconnect with yourself. It is sacred and should be a non-negotiable aspect of your life.
Here are our tips for setting up a space dedicated to your self-care:
1# Choose a space
This could be in your bathroom, a table in your living room or even your bedside table. Try to choose it near to a window so you can benefit from the natural light and where you can have a lovely breeze on a sunny day. Clean the area deeply and remove any clutter. We like the ritualistic process of burning sage to cleanse the environment and to set the intention that this is your sacred space.
2# Decorate
Now that you have a clear and cleansed area it is time to decorate! Maybe you will add a pretty cloth to put your items on or leave the beauty of the wood to be seen. Trays are a great way to organize and also bring in detail to the area. Candles bring beautiful soft light and scent. This would be a great spot for your favorite crystals to be kept as well. Before you place anything in the area, hold each item and see if you feel joy and lightness in your heart. Only place items that bring these feelings to you.
3# Add sacred self-care items
This is unique to you. Maybe it is the burning of incense, crystals that you use for your daily mediation (we would highly recommend rose quartz placed on your forehead while meditating in the morning to bring calm to your day). Books truly are sacred, so why not keep a selection you love here. It would also be a wonderful place to keep your journal as well.
4# Daily habit
Set an intention to be in your sacred space at least once a day. It helps to set a time each day so you can incorporate it into your daily routine i.e. first thing in the morning or just before bed.
Utilize your new beautiful sacred space – it is your retreat from the world. Keep it in your heart and know that when life becomes overwhelming (as it inevitably does sometimes) your sacred space is there for you to find reprieve from the world.
Inside of us is both feminine and masculine energy and to be in balance both have to be cared for. When unbalanced it can create harm and disease. Here we share our tips on living in harmony with the two energies:
FEMININE ENERGY
Move
Yoga, dance, walk, swim – anything that brings movement and flows to your body will cultivate your feminine energy bringing a lightness to your heart and opens you to ideas and inspiration.
Create
Expressing yourself through art, food, music or wherever your passion lies. This taps into your creative energy and allows your feminine energy to flow through you.
MASCULINE ENERGY
Learn
Empower your masculine energy by feeding your mind with non-fiction books, documentaries or podcasts which also encourages you to feel more in control.
Goals
Setting your goals will inspire you to grow. The flow of masculine energy will provide you with the determination to get there.
How do you merge the feminine and masculine energy? Step into nature. The grounding that comes with placing your feet on the earth cultivates a sense of strength and control and you can feel the two energies converging inside of you.
