Here are our top three ways to practice Self Love:
Focus on being someone who loves.
If right now, you don’t love yourself, becoming someone who does may not happen overnight.
Self love is like a muscle you have to build. What you can do today however is focus on being someone who loves other people and things.
Allow love to flow through you as often as possible, even if that love isn’t for yourself.
Focus on what you appreciate around you – people, nature, pets.
As you do this, you begin to embody the vibration of love and so eventually, loving yourself becomes just as easy as love you so freely give to others.
Tune into what it looks and feels like to be loved.
We tend to be the hardest on ourselves when things fall apart. When we fail, when we make the wrong choices, when we get rejected.
It’s these moments where you need to love yourself the most so ask youself: In this moment, how would someone who deeply loves me act or respond?
What would they say? What would they do?
Would they criticise or judge?
Of course not.
They’d offer kindness and compassion.
In the times when you need love the most, think about how the most loving person on the planet would respond then practice being that person towards yourself.
Accept what you cannot love.
Focus on accepting the things you aren’t able to change and you can’t bring yourself to love.
It’s ok to have flaws.
We don’t need to be madly in love with every part of ourselves.
But we do need to accept every part of ourselves and be ok with those things.
We are constantly evolving and growing so in time, these things may fade.
But before they do, learn to accept rather than hate.
